1. ADVERT FOR PUBLICISING THE LAUNCH OF A SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION AND STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT

The Scottish Government have published the consultation on 11 proposed joint UK fisheries management plans (FMPs) for demersal fish stocks.

The 11 FMPs were developed by the four UK fisheries administrations with the Scottish Government as the coordinating authority.

The FMPs gather evidence of what we know about the state of these demersal stocks, the management approach, and set out policies and actions to restore or maintain the stocks at sustainable levels.

A strategic environmental assessment (SEA) has also been completed for the 11 FMPs to assess the likely significant environmental effects of these plans and is part of this Consultation.

Read the consultation documents and share your views here: https://consult.gov.scot/marine-scotland/fisheries-management-plans-demersal-fish-stocks/

You can submit your consultation response through an online questionnaire, or by email or post until 11.59pm on Wednesday 11 March 2026.
