Public Consultation: Proposal Amalgamate Canvey Island Infant and Junior Schools, Canvey Island
Essex County Council has commenced a public consultation on a proposal to amalgamate Canvey Island Infant School and Nursery and Canvey Junior School, with effect from 1 September 2026.

Parents/carers and other interested persons are invited to attend a public meeting (no appointment necessary), where officers from Essex County Council will be available to talk about the proposed amalgamation and answer questions. Two sessions will be held on Tuesday 27 November 2025, at 2.30pm in the infant school, Long Road, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 0JG and at 6pm in the junior school, Long Road, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 0JG. Those wishing to attend may come along at whichever time is most convenient to them.

The closing date for receipt of comments on the proposal will be 18 December 2025.
