What is happening?

Public Consultation Event

Clyde South Energy Park Limited is exploring the opportunity to develop a new renewable energy park comprising of up to 9 turbines, solar PV and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The site is located southeast of Elvanfoot, South Lanarkshire where two wind farms were previously consented but not built.

1 December 2025 | Crawford Hall (100 Carlisle Rd, Crawford, Biggar, ML12 6TW) | 3pm to 7pm
The events will offer an opportunity to view the initial proposals, as well as information on surveys which have been undertaken to date and learn about the community benefit funding which could be delivered. Members of the project team will be in attendance to answer any questions and receive feedback on the proposed development.

Renewco Power is committed to open discussion with members of the public and would encourage feedback and suggestions that could help shape the development of the proposals. Please note, all feedback for this round of consultation should be returned by 18 January 2026. This notice does not relate to a planning application, and comments should not be made to South Lanarkshire council. Any comments made to the Applicant are not representations to the Planning Authority. If a planning application is subsequently submitted to the council, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken and the public will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposals at that time.
