Kingmoor Park Central, Kingmoor - Public Footpath Diversion & Stopping Up Order
What is happening?
TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL
(FOOTPATH NOS 120007 AND 120008 PARISH OF KINGMOOR)
PUBLIC PATH STOPPING UP AND DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP
AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above named Order made on 4 November 2025 under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will stop up the following public footpaths at Kingmoor Park Central in the parish of Kingmoor
the whole width of that section of public footpath no 120007 from Grid reference 338560 559829 west north-westwards for about 354 metres to Grid Reference 338226 559936; and
the whole width of that section of public footpath no 120008 from its confluence with FP 120007 at Grid Reference 338226 559936 west north-westwards and south-westwards for about 541 metres to Grid Reference 337871 559723.
and create and alternative route of public footpath no 120008 from Grid Reference 338307 559450 northwards and north-westwards for about 38 metres to road at Grid Reference 338304 559481 over road for about 13 metres to Grid Reference 338300 559493 and continuing westwards then northwards for about 95 metres to road at Grid Reference 338292 559575 then west-northwestwards for about 12 metres across the road to Grid Reference 338280 559578 and continuing south-westwards westwards and west-northwestwards for a further 469 metres to Grid Reference 337871 559723. The width of the path will vary between 2 and 3 metres.
A copy of the Order and map may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ by appointment only (T. 5.1.528). Details of the Order can be viewed on the Council’s website and copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of: £2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet from the undersigned. Alternatively contact countryside.access@cumberland.gov.uk for further information.
Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order must be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email as addresses above) to be received not later than 12 December 2025 and should state the grounds on which they are made.
If no objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the Cumberland Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State any objections which have not been withdrawn will be submitted with the Order.
