Area 430 Marine Aggregate Dredging

The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) has carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) under the Marine Works (EIA) Regulations 2007 (“the Regulations”) in relation to the application for a Marine Aggregate Extraction Licence for Area 430, to be carried out by Tarmac Marine Ltd (Tarmac) and Cemex UK Marine Ltd (Cemex).

In accordance with Regulation 22 of the Regulations, the MMO has decided to grant EIA consent for the project on 31 October 2025 subject to certain conditions being imposed.

Effect of EIA Decision on the Regulatory Decision

Following the above EIA consent decision and in accordance with Regulation 24 of the Regulations, the MMO has decided to grant a marine licence for Marine Aggregate Extraction at Area 430 under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 on 31 October 2025, subject to certain conditions being imposed.
