What is happening?

COMMONS ACT 2006 - SECTION 15(1)

NOTICE OF REJECTION OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE REGISTRATION OF LAND AS A TOWN OR VILLAGE GREEN.

To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.

Application was made in November 2011 to Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford ST16 2LP by John Lukanik under section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007.

The application sought to the include in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green. It has been decided that the application be rejected as the applicant was unable to establish that the application land had been used for qualifying purposes by a sufficient number of people within the meaning of s.15(2) of the Commons Act 2006, and that fuller reasons for the decision of the Panel are contained in the Inspectors report, dated 2 September 2025, a copy of which may be inspected at the following offices, Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford ST16 2LP during normal office hours.
