Notice Under Section 27 of theTrustee Act 1925 Winding-Up of the CroWN BUCkley limiTed PeNSioN SCheme* 6 November 2025

What is happening?

This notice is addressed to current and former members and beneficiaries of the Crown Buckley Limited Pension Scheme (the “Scheme”).
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of theTrusteeAct 1925 (as amended) that Independent Trustee Services Limited as the trustee (the “Trustee”) comm- enced the process of winding-up the Scheme on 29 october 2025.
Anyone (including, but not limited to, any former employees or agents of S.A. Brain & Company, Limited) who believes that they may be entitled to benefits from the Scheme and has not already been contacted by theTrustee about the winding-up of the Scheme,or any other member, beneficiary, creditor or anyone else believing they have any interest in the assets of the Scheme, or who have a claim against, or entitlement to, the Scheme that has not been notified by the Trustee must contact the Trustee as soon as possible, and in any event within two months of the date on which this notice is published.

Claimants should provide full details of their claim, their full name, address, national insurance number,date of birth, and if applicable dates of employment with S.A.Brain & Company Limited, together with copies of all documents which support their claim. 

Important note: TheTrustee has already written to all members and beneficiaries currently receiving benefits or with a known entitlement to future benefits from the Scheme. If you have been contacted by the Trustee previously, you do not need to respond to this notice.
All claims must be made by 5 January 2026 so they may be considered by the Trustee before the Scheme is wound up.
After 5 January 2026 theTrustee will proceed to deal with the assets of the Scheme among the persons entitled to them and may have regard to only those claims and entitlements that the Trustee has received notice of by 5 January 2026. The Trustee will not be liable to or in respect of any other person whose claim or entitlement has not been so notified.
Former members of the Scheme (Guaranteed minimum Pension equalisation – ‘GmPe’)
Former members of the Scheme may be entitled to a payment from the Scheme on account of an issue known as ‘GMPe’. If you were once a member of the Scheme between 1990 and 1997 but transferred your benefits to an alternative pension arrangement or if you have a relative who was a member of the Scheme (between 1990 and 1997 and they transferred an alternative pension arrangement) and has since died,then there may be an entitlement to a payment.
If you believe you or a relative fall into this category (and you have not already been contacted by theTrustee on account of GMPe),please provide details of your transfer to theTrustee in writing (together with your full name, present address,date of birth and copies of all documents which support your transfer) or, if you are writing in respect of a deceased relative, their full name, last address, date of birth and date of death. Please contact theTrustee at the above address by 5 January 2026 using the contact details set out above
