TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Southend-on-Sea City Council, pursuant to Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous) Provisions Act 1976, is to remove and appoint certain hackney carriage stands on the highway in the Borough, as set out in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Stand to be Appointed:
On the east side of Progress Road, before and after Brunel Road, there will be proposed taxi ranks measuring a total of 21m in one lane, split into two separate sections of 9m and 12m respectively.
Stand to be Removed:
Two existing taxi stands located on the east side of Progress Road before Faraday Road, measuring a total of 21 meters (12m and 9m in separate sections), are proposed to be removed, and replaced with double yellow line.
Any person wishing to object to the appointment or removal of the stands as set out in the Schedule above, or to make any representations in relation thereto, may do so in writing to me at the address below, or via email to consultations@southend.gov.uk stating the objections or representations, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
