What is happening?
THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES (MEMBERS ALLOWANCES) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2003
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL – INDEPENDENT REMUNERATION PANEL RECOMMENDATIONS
Cumberland Council has received a recommendation from the Independent Remuneration Panel appointed by Cumberland Council, in respect of the Scheme of Allowances to be paid to Councillors for 2025/27.
Cumberland Council will consider the recommendations at its meeting 4 November 2025.
Copies of the Panel’s report are available for inspection by members of the public on the Council’s website Agenda for Council on Tuesday 4 November 2025, 1.00 pm | Cumberland Council.
The main features of the recommendations are that the following annual allowances should be paid from 1 April 2025:–
