Flintshire, Report On Council Maladministration Related To Housing Complaint

PUBLIC SERVICES OMBUDSMAN

(WALES) ACT 2019

Notice pursuant to s.24(3) of the above Act.

The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has investigated a complaint and found maladministration/ service failure by Flintshire County Council and has sent a report on the results of their investigation to Flintshire County Council. The complaint related to how the Council responded to reports of damp and mould by one of its tenants and whether appropriate action was taken to provide this tenant with alternative accommodation.

A copy of the report will be available on the Council’s website https://www.flintshire.gov.uk/en/Resident/Contact-Us/Public-Services-Ombudsman-Wales.aspx and for inspection by the public without charge during normal office hours at County Offices, Church Street, Flint, Flintshire CH6 5BH or Ty Dewi Sant, St David’s Park, Ewloe, Flintshire CH5 3FF for a period of 3 weeks from 30 October 2025 and anyone who wishes may take a copy of this report or make extracts therefrom.
