Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water
Colin Robert Armstrong has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 2/27/22/128 which authorises the abstraction of water from Carboniferous Limestone at Tupgill Park, Coverdale, Leyburn at National Grid Reference (NGR) SE 10107 86582.
The variation applied for is: To add an additional abstraction point at NGR SE 09505 87119 via the means of a borehole.
The licenced quantity has been applied to be increased to 24,000 cubic meters per year which will be in aggregate with the existing quantities licenced.
The quantities applied for from the new borehole are as follows:
• 5 cubic metres per hour • 120 cubic metres per day
• 24,000 cubic metres per year.
The purposes for the new point of abstraction and its associated quantities are spray irrigation and potable water supply
