What is happening?

NOTICE OF DECISION Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997 THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2017 As directed by regulation 23(4) of the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) 2017, notice is hereby given that Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc ("the Company") has been granted consent by Scottish Ministers to upgrade and operate, a transmission line, located in the relevant Planning Authority areas of Angus Council and Perth and Kinross Council, as follows: the upgrading of approximately 14 km of the existing 16 km 275kV overhead line to enable operation at 400kV, located between Alyth substation and Tealing substation within the planning authority areas of Angus Council and Perth and Kinross Council. Scottish Ministers have also directed, under section 57 (2) of the Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, that planning permission is deemed to be granted. Copies of the decision statement and related documentation can be obtained from https://www.energyconsents.scot using the ECU reference number: ECU00005167. Copies of the decision statement and related documentation have been made available to Angus Council and Perth and Kinross Council to be made available for public inspection by being placed on the planning register.
