Conwy, Retain Council Tax Premiums

What is happening?

PREMIYMAU TRETH Y CYNGOR

Rhoddir rhybudd trwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy, yn ei gyfarfod ar 23 Hydref 2025, yn unol ag adrannau 12a a 12b Deddf Cyllid Llywodraeth Leol 1992, fel y'i gynnwys gan adran 139 Deddf Tai (Cymru) 2014, wedi penderfynu canlynol:

(i) Cadw’r Premiwm Treth y Cyngor presennol o 150% ar gyfer ail gartrefi ar gyfer blynyddoedd ariannol 2026/27 a 2027/28.

(ii) Cadw’r Premiwm Treth y Cyngor presennol o 200% ar gyfer cartrefi gwag tymor hir ar gyfer blynyddoedd ariannol 2026/27 a 2027/28.

(iii) Cadw’r Premiwm Treth y Cyngor presennol o 300% ar gyfer cartrefi gwag sydd wedi bod yn wag am 5 mlynedd neu fwy ar gyfer blynyddoedd ariannol 2026/27 a 2027/28.

(iv) Parhau i beidio â chymhwyso unrhyw ostyngiad ar gyfer ail gartrefi a chartrefi gwyliau ac eiddo heb ei feddiannu ac heb ei addasu yn Nosbarthiadau A, B a C ar gyfer y blynyddoedd ariannol 2026/27.

COUNCIL TAX PREMIUMS

Notice is hereby given that Conwy County Borough Council, at its meeting on 23 October 2025 in accordance with sections 12A and 12B of the Local Government Finance Act 1992, as inserted by section 139 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, made the following determinations:

(i) Retain the 150% Council Tax Premium for second homes for financial years 2026/27 and 2027/28.

(ii) Retain the 200% Council Tax Premium for long term empty homes for financial years 2026/27 and 2027/28.

(iii) Retain the current 300% Council Tax Premium for long term empty homes that have been empty for 5 years or more for financial years 2026/27 and 2027/28.

(iv) Continue to not apply a discount in respect of second homes and holiday homes and long term unoccupied and unfurnished properties in the prescribed Classes A, B and C for the financial year 2026/27.
