Alkali Metal Processing Limited Application for Hazardous Substances Consent

Alkali Metal Processing Limited gives notice that we are applying for Hazardous Substances Consent at Port of Workington, Bulk Liquid Terminal 2, North Side, Workington, Cumberland, CA14 1BN, for the storage and treatment of sodium and production of sodium hydroxide.
Cumberland Council, as the "hazardous substances authority" (from which relevant information can be obtained) will decide whether or not to grant consent, and if to grant, will decide on what conditions to grant.
Representations (including comments or questions) may be made to Cumberland Council. Copies of the application may be inspected at Allerdale House, Workington, CA14 3YJ and online at www. cumberland.gov.uk. Any representations must be sent to Cumberland Council within 21 days after the submission of the application (from 1 November until 21 November 2025).
