NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

The Wiltshire Council Marston Path No. 9 and Worton Path No. 11
Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025
On 26 September 2025 Wiltshire Council confirmed as made the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The above order, made on 03 July 2025 modifies the definitive map and statement for the area by upgrading that part of Marston path no.9 currently recorded as a bridleway to a restricted byway. The route leads from near to End Farm to its junction with Worton 11 (Church Lane) at the parish boundary, length approx. 430 metres width as shown on order plan 2. Also, by upgrading Worton path 11 (Church Lane) to a restricted byway from the parish boundary north to the Send Road, C.20. Approx length 220 metres width as shown on order plan 2. The Order became operative as from 26 September 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may within 42 days from 23 October 2025 make an application under paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 of the 1981 Act to the High Court.

CREATION ORDER LAND EAST OF WHISTLEY ROAD, POTTERNE 2025
On 02 October 2025 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to create a public footpath from Whistley Road, Potterne at OS Grid ref. ST 9899 5921 leading alongside the watercourse and broadly north northeast for approximately 195 metres to OS Grid ref 9916 5929 with a width of 1 metre and as shown on the order map. A copy of the order and map as confirmed may be seen free of charge at Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN on weekdays between 0900 and 1700. The order comes into force as from 02 October 2025 but if any person aggrieved by it wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, they may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 23 October 2025 make an application to the High Court.

POTTERNE 80 (PART) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER NO. 1 2025
On 02 October 2025 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish that length of footpath at Furzehill Farm at its junction with Potterne 84 at OS grid ref ST9939 6006 leading through the yard and across the field in a broadly southwest direction to its junction with Potterne 71 and 79 as shown on the order map. A copy of the order and map as confirmed may be seen free of charge at Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN on weekdays between 0900 and 1700. On 02 October 2025 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish that public footpath Potterne no. 80 running from Whistley Road, Potterne at OS Grid ref. ST 990 592 past Whistley Mill to OS Grid ref. ST 992 593 with 0.9 metre approximate length 170 metres as shown on the order map A to B.
