NOTICE OF NON-STATUTORY PUBLIC INQUIRY

WPAG has applied to Hertfordshire County Council, the registration authority under the above Act, to register land at Singlers Marsh, as a town or village green.

Welwyn-Hatfield Borough Council and BDL have objected to the application.

A public inquiry, at which Ms Noemi Byrd, an independent barrister, will hear the cases for the applicant and the objector, will be held commencing with a Preliminary Matters Hearing at 09:30 on 12th & 13th November at Welwyn Civic Centre, small hall, Prospect Place, Welwyn, Herts, AL6 9ER.

The application, which is being determined by the registration authority, can be inspected online at Common land and village green applications or at Hertfordshire County Council, Countryside & Rights of Way Service, Farnham House CHN110, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, Herts, SG1 2ST (telephone 01992 555292).

If the registration authority is satisfied that the land has become a town or village green as claimed, it will register the land, and such registration will be final and conclusive evidence of the status of the land as at the date of registration.
