NOTICE OF REJECTION OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE REGISTRATION

OF LAND AS A TOWN OR VILLAGE GREEN AT LYMINGTON ROAD AND

SANDOWN CLOSE BURNTWOOD


To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern. Application was made in January 2005 to Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford ST16 2LP by Janet McManus, John Canning and Joseph Pratt under section 13 of the Commons Registration Act 1965 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007.

The application sought to include in the register of town and village greens the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green. It has been decided that the application be rejected for the reasons contained in the Inspectors reports, dated, 1 November 2024, 17 March 2025 and 24 June 2025 a copy of which may be
inspected at the following offices, Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford ST16 2LP during normal office hours. It should be noted that the dismissal of this application will not (as the Inspector has advised) preclude the making of a further application to register the application land as a town or village green under the provisions of the Commons Act 2006, section 15.
