COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS – 9 OCTOBER 2025

NOTICE OF POLL & STATEMENT OF NOMINEES

AN ELECTION WILL TAKE PLACE FOR DUNBAR COMMUNITY COUNCIL AREA

Polling will take place by ballot box on Thursday 9 October.

Polling Place: Bleachingfield Centre, Countess Crescent, Dunbar, EH42 1DX – open from 12 noon – 7 pm

Only such persons 16 years of age or over, as are included in the section of the register of local government electors applicable to Dunbar Community Council area, shall be entitled to vote in the election.

If you are unable to attend the polling place you may apply for a proxy vote to allow someone to vote on your behalf. They must be 16 years of age or over and be on the register of local government electors applicable to East Lothian. Proxy forms available to download www.eastlothian.gov.uk/elections or contact the Elections Office elections@eastlothian.gov.uk 01620 820185. Forms to be completed and returned by 4 pm on Wednesday 8 October 2025.

The following persons now stand nominated for election as members to serve on Dunbar Community Council. (14 nominations received for the 12 places available)

The result of the count will be notified to candidates and published in due course.
