Bacton, Norfolk – Marine licence application for data buoy deployment

APPLICATION FOR Anglian Water Data Buoys
Notice is hereby given that Anglian Water Services Limited, Lancaster House, Lancaster Way, Ermine Business Park, Huntingdon, PE29 6YJ, has applied to the Marine Management Organisation under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, Part 4, for a marine licence to conduct water sampling and analysis at Bacton. In-situ testing with an anchored buoy and water analysis sensors is planned at two sites.
The anchored buoy will be deployed at the planned site for a 3-month period. The single set-up will subsequently be moved from one site to the next in 3-month intervals (+/- days for weather allowance), and will continue to rotate over a 12-month period.

In all cases, correspondence must:

Be received within 28 days of the date of the first notice (2 October 2025);

Include an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent.
The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.
