NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE (BASSETLAW DISTRICT) DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MARNHAM FOOTPATH No.10) MODIFICATION ORDER (2025)
The above Order made on Wednesday 17th September 2025 under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the above Area by adding thereto the footpath commencing from a point SK 7736 7054 at the junction with Marnham Road and proceeding for a distance of approximately 381 metres in a generally northerly direction to SK 7737 7092 and then for a distance of approximately 16 metres in a generally westerly direction to a point SK 7735 7092 and then for a distance of approximately 434 metres in a generally northerly direction to a point SK 7728 7136 at the junction with Fledborough Footpaths No.1 and No.22 as described in the Order and shown on the order map.
A copy of the order, the order maps and the statement of reasons may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and at Bassetlaw District Council, Retford Town Hall, 17B The Square, Retford, Notts, DN22 6DE, and also at Retford Public Library, Churchgate, Retford, Notts, DN22 6PE, during the respective normal opening hours until Thursday 6th November 2025. The order may be viewed on the Nottinghamshire County Council website under Rights of way news, or a copy can be obtained by e-mailing Countryside.Access@nottscc.gov.uk. Paper copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy.
Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below not later than Thursday 6th November 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the Authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under Paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order) as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, (in whole or in part), any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
