NOTICE OF MAKING OF MODIFICATION ORDERS

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR OXFORDSHIRE

Kirtlington Footpath No. 2 (part) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 26 August 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding the route: -

From Church Lane at OS Grid Ref SP 5001 1963 running generally east for approximately 138 metres to the existing western end of Footpath No. 2 at SP 5015 1961.

Stratton Audley Footpaths Nos. 1 & 11 (parts) Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 1 September 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the public footpaths: -

From the existing southern end of Footpath No. 1 at OS grid reference SP 6093 2637 running south-westwards for 55m to Footpath No. 11 at SP 6090 2632;

and from Cherry Street at OS grid reference SP 6088 2630 running north-eastwards for 25m to Footpath No. 1 at SP 6093 2634, and south-eastwards for 5m to the existing western end of Footpath No. 11 at SP 6096 2632.

Sunningwell Footpath No. 19 & Wootton (Abingdon) Footpath No. 34 Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 15 September 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the public footpaths:

From Sunningwell FP2 at OS grid reference SP 4890 0053 running generally north for approximately 34 metres to the Wootton (Abingdon) Parish boundary at SP 4890 0056;

and from the Sunningwell Parish boundary at OS grid reference SP 4890 0056 running north east for approximately 220m to SP 4900 0075, generally north west for approximately 92m to SP 4896 0083, generally north east for approximately 17m to Lincombe Lane at SP 4901 0089, north east for approximately 82m to SP 4908 0093, north for approximately 281m to SP 4903 0121 and east and then east for approximately 175m to the junction of Sunningwell FP3 & FP5 at SP 4918 0128.

Any representation or objection relating to any of the above orders must be sent in writing to Countryside Access Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk

not later than 31 October 2025 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to an order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
