Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water

Aldeburgh Golf Club Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 7/35/05/*G/0046, which authorises the abstraction of water from the underground strata comprising of confined chalk aquifer (Crag) near Aldeburgh, Suffolk at National Grid References TM 44759 58097 (‘A’) and TM 44729 57778 (‘B’).

The variation applied for is: to increase the annual abstraction quantity authorised from National Grid Reference TM 44729 57778 (‘B’) from 33,044 cubic metres per year to 48,044 cubic metres per year.
