What is happening?

ENVIRONMENT AGENCY

The Environment Agency is proposing to revoke (cancel) licence number 28/39/28/104, held by Affinity Water Limited.

The Environment Agency is required to give notice of this proposal. The Environment Agency give this notice in line with section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by section 22 of the Water Act 2003) and regulation 31 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

This licence allows the licence holder: Affinity Water Limited, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EZ

to abstract a total of 386 cubic metres (m3) an hour, 7,092 cubic metres (m3) of water a day, and a total of 1,905,723m3 a year, from the River Chess at Alma Road. This is at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 96200 02600. The licence holder can abstract water for Public Water Supply.

The proposal is to revoke the licence.
