What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE The Petroleum Act 1998 RAVENSPURN NORTH GAS COMPRESSION DECK TOPSIDE DECOMMISSIONING PROGRAMME
Perenco UK Limited has submitted, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, a draft Decommissioning Programme (DP) for the Ravenspurn North Central Complex (RNCC) Gas Compression Deck (GCD) topside, in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998. It is a requirement of the Act that interested parties be consulted on such decommissioning proposals.
This DP details the removal of the RNCC GCD
topside, which consists of a cellar, mezzanine and weather deck. The GCD is situated upon a Concrete Gravity Structure by a deck transition structure. The GCD is bridge-linked to a Central Production Platform, from which it was de-powered and air-gapped in 2020.
The RNCC is located in the Ravenspurn North Field (UKCS Block 43/26) in the Southern North Sea, approximately 76km from the Yorkshire coast. The GCD WGS84 co-ordinates are 54° 01' 50.2526" N, 01° 06' 02.8286" E.
The RNCC is located within the Southern North Sea Special Area of Conservation, a designated site for the harbour porpoise.
Perenco UK Limited hereby gives notice that a digital copy of the draft RNCC GCD Topside Decommissioning Programme can be viewed and downloaded online at https://www.perenco.com/documentation. Alternatively, a hard copy of the Decommissioning Programme can be inspected at the location given below during office hours. Representations regarding the RNCC GCD Topside Decommissioning Programme should be submitted in writing or electronically to the following address, where they should be received by the closing date of 2nd October 2025 and state the grounds upon which any representations are being made.
