NOTICE OF CREATION OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY

IN THE PARISHES OF RAVENSTONEDALE AND CROSBY GARRETT

including BRIDLEWAY No 359098

(RAVENSTONEDALE MOOR), FOOTPATH No. 318028

(CROSBY GARRETT FELL) AND FOOTPATH No 318029 & 359088 (SMARDALIE BRIDGE) WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS

Take notice that by deeds dated 27 May, 24 June and 5 August 2025 the rights of way described below, at Ravenstonedale Moor, Crosby Garrett Fell and Smardale Bridge in Westmorland and Furness, have been dedicated for use by the public.

At Ravenstonedale Moor:

(i) a bridleway extending from grid reference NY 6888 0651 on Byway Open to All Traffic no 359087 proceeding for approximately 471 metres generally in an easterly direction to grid reference NY 6932 0650 on the C3074 (A685 to Middle Busk) road; and

(ii) a bridleway extending from the C3074 (A685 to Middle Busk) road at grid reference NY 6934 0650 proceeding for approximately 281 metres generally in an easterly direction to grid reference NY 6961 0651 on Bridleway 359080. Width: 4 metres. Approximate Length: 752 metres

At Crosby Garrett Fell:

a footpath extending from Bridleway No 318001 at grid reference NY 7080 0666 proceeding for approximately 582 metres in an east north easterly direction to a field gate at grid reference NY 7132 0688, then continuing for approximately 308 metres in a south easterly direction to the north side of a stone wall to grid reference NY 7160 0675 to join Footpath 318005 at a new pedestrian gate; then proceeding for approximately 810 metres in a general south easterly direction around the southern side of a stone wall to join Footpath 318006 at grid reference NY 7225 0638. Width: 2 metres. Approximate Length: 1700 metres.

At Smardale Bridge:

(i) a footpath (no 318029) extending from the field gate on Footpath 318006 at grid reference NY 7207 0609 proceeding generally southwards for approximately 142 metres along the boundary at the watercourse in Severalls Gill to grid reference NY 7204 0596 where it meets Footpath 359088, and

(b) a footpath (no 359088) extending from Footpath 318029 at the field gate immediately at the watercourse in Severalls Gill at grid reference NY 7204 0596 proceeding for approximately 3 metres to meet the public road at grid reference NY 7204 0593 where it joins Bridleway 359072. Width: 2 metres. Approximate Length: 145 metres.
