STREET TRADING

Notice is hereby given that Basildon Borough Council intends to pass a resolution in the following terms:-

That all streets within the Borough of Basildon be designated as consent streets, in accordance with Schedule 4, Paragraph 2 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 with the exception of the following, with effect from 29th September 2025:

Basildon Borough Council has identified the following roads as prohibited streets, therefore street trading is not permitted.

• Broadmayne between Ashlyns (Eastmayne/Southmayne) and the Nethermayne (A176)

• A176 between A13 and A127, Basildon

• Ghyllgrove between Broadmayne and Whitmore Way, Basildon

• A1235 Cranes Farm Road between Uppermayne and Eastmayne, Basildon

• Laindon Link between Nethermayne (A176) and Staneway, Laindon

• Ashlyns between Eastmayne/Southmayne and Rectory Road, Pitsea

• Tyefields between Rectory Road and Lanhams, Pitsea

• Rushleys between Lanhams and Burnt Mills Road, Pitsea

• Felmores between Eastmayne and Lanhams, Pitsea

• London Road, Pitsea between Rectory Road and Sadlers Farm

• High Road, Pitsea between Nethermayne (A176) and Rectory Road (including Broadway Link)\n London Road (A129) and Runwell Road (A132) at the junction with Church End Lane, Wickford

  • Southend Road (A129) between Golden Jubilee Way (A132) and London Road Shotgate, Wickford

  • Nevendon Road, Wickford between A127 and Golden Jubilee Way (A132), Wickford

  • Golden Jubilee Way (A132) between Nevendon Road and Runwell Road, Wickford

  • London Road, Wickford (A129) between A132 and the junction of Gardiners Road North

  • Crays Hill (A129) between Gardiners Road North and the junction with A176 Noak Hill Road, Billericay

  • London Road, Billericay between High Street (Sun Street) and the junction with Great Cowbridge Grange Farm, Billericay

  • Stock Road, Billericay between Western Road and Ingatestone Road, Billericay

  • A127 Arterial Road between the junction with A1245 and the junction with Westmayne, Basildon

  Basildon Borough Council has identified the following areas where street trading consent will not be required as other controls already exist:

  • Basildon Town Centre (Eastgate), Basildon

  • Basildon Town Square, Basildon

  • Basildon Market, Basildon

  • East Square, Basildon

  • Specific areas of Basildon Town Centre

  • Pitsea Market, Pitsea

  • Wickford Market, Wickford

  • Gloucester Park, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon

  • Lake Meadows Park, Radford Way, Billericay

  • Northlands Park, Felmores Road, Basildon

  • Wickford Memorial Park, Rettendon View, Wickford

  Representations to the above may be made in writing to the Council within 28 days of the date of this publication to the Licensing Service at the address below. Or email to licensing@basildon.gov.uk
