NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27(1) OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

Countrywide Plc Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) (previously called (1) the 1972 Pension and Life Assurance Scheme of Bairstow Eves and Son and (2) the Countrywide Assured Group Pension Scheme) Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Trustees of the Scheme are taking action to secure benefits with an insurer and are winding up the Scheme. If you have already received a communication from the Trustees regarding this matter then you do not need to take any action as the Trustees already have details of your claims and entitlements.

Any person who previously transferred their benefits from the Scheme to a new pension arrangement, and was a member of the Scheme between 17 May 1990 and 5 April 1997, may be entitled to an additional benefit following a high court ruling involving the Lloyds Banking Group pension schemes. If you believe you may be in this position, please contact the Trustees of the Scheme.

Any person who has not been contacted by the Trustees regarding the wind up of the Scheme and believes that they have a claim against, or entitlement to, a pension or any benefit from the Scheme or any of the former schemes listed above should write to the Trustees of the Countrywide Plc Pension Scheme, Capita Pensions Solutions, PO Box 555, Stead House, Darlington, DL1 9YT.

Claimants should provide their full name, address, date of birth, national insurance number and any documents supporting their claim. Claims must be made within 2 months of the date of publication of this advertisement. After that date, the Trustees will proceed to complete the winding-up of the Scheme having regard only to valid claims or interests of which the Trustees shall then have had notice and will not be liable to any other person.

For and on behalf of the Trustees of the Countrywide Plc Pension Scheme.
