What is happening?

APPEAL BY TAXI OPERATORS AGAINST FARE SCALES

An appeal has been lodged with the Traffic Commissioner for Scotland under Section 18 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 against the taxi fare scales proposed by East Ayrshire Council. 

In accordance with 3(1) of the Licensing and Regulation of Taxis (Appeals in respect of Taxi Fares) (Scotland) Order 1985, the Deputy Traffic Commissioner HEREBY GIVES NOTICE of his decision to proceed with a public hearing on Friday 29 August 2025 at 11:00am in Council Chambers, Council Headquarters, London Road, Kilmarnock, KA3 7BU.
