NOTICE OF PUBLIC LOCAL INQUIRY
Notice of a non-statutory Public Inquiry into an objection to an application for the registration of land claimed to have qualified for registration as a Town or Village Green. 
In the matter of Application VG256 for the registration as a new Town or Village Green at Land off Barton Road, Barton Seagrave. The Independent Inspector, Mr Edwin Simpson, will attend at:
Council Chamber, East Northamptonshire House, Cedar Drive, Thrapston, Northamptonshire, NN14 4LZCommencing on Tuesday 9th September 2025 at 10.00am and continuing, if necessary, on Thursday,11 September 2025 (but NOT on Wednesday,10 September 2025). 
North Northamptonshire Council (“the Council”) have determined that a Public Inquiry should be held to consider objections to the Application which has been made to the registration authority, North Northamptonshire Council, Legal Services, The Corby Cube, George Street, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 1QG by Mr J Hunter (“the Applicant”), under Section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 for the inclusion in the Register of Town or Village Greens of the land described in the Schedule hereto, which it is claimed has qualified for registration as a Town or Village Green by virtue of the use of the said land for the purposes of lawful sports and pastimes “as of right” and without challenge by the landowner for a period of over 20 years.
