SWINDON BOROUGH DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

FOOTPATH 35 CENTRAL SWINDON NORTH MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

On 13 August 2025 Swindon Borough Council confirmed the above order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a footpath which leads from Pinehurst Road, at OS grid reference SU14898628 to Public Bridleway 6 Central Swindon North at OS grid reference SU15248639.

A copy of the order and the order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Central Library, Regent Circus, Swindon SN1 1QG from 10.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 4.00pm Saturday except Bank Holiday Monday 28 August 2025. The order and order map can also be viewed on the public rights of way pages of the Swindon Borough Council website (www.swindon.gov.uk/publicpathorders). Copies of the order and map may be bought by contacting paths@swindon.gov.uk

The order came into force on 13 August 2025, but if a person aggrieved by the order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act, has not been complied with in relation to the order, that person may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act, within 42 days from the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
