NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE MARLBOROUGH AND RAMSBURY RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL AREA DATED 1952 AS MODIFIED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL RAMSBURY 8B, 44, 71 & 72 AND MILDENHALL 16 DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2022
On 28 April 2025 an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs confirmed as made the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The above Order made on 27 April 2022 modifies the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a length of restricted byway from Stone Lane, Axford at its junction with RAMS43 (OS Grid ref. SU2349 6969) leading in a southerly and south easterly direction to its junction with path RAMS98 (approx. length 730 metres with 4.9 metres), also by upgrading a section of RAMS98 to restricted byway from OS Grid ref SU2379 6907 to SU2375 6906 (approx. length 45 metres with 10.1 metres), also by adding a restricted byway (Axford Lane) from SU2375 6906 leading in a south easterly direction to its junction with path RAMS44 (approx. length 450 metres with 10.1 metres), also from that junction (SU2385 6892) leading in a southerly and southly direction to its junction with path MILD16 (approx. length 380 metres with 10.1 metres) and also from that junction (SU2393 6853) upgrading part of MILD16 to restricted byway to its junction with the A4 trunk road at SU2371 6781 (approx. length 600 metres with 3.5 metres). The order became operative as from 28 April 2025 , but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question the validity on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within 42 days from 07 August 2025 make an application under paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 of the 1981 Act to the High Court.
