What is happening?

Three Rivers District Council (‘the council’) invites comments on suggested changes to its Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Policy 2022 (‘the policy’).

One of the council’s responsibilities is to periodically review the policy. The suggested changes include, but are not limited to, incorporating updated statutory guidance and changes to vehicle emissions, age criteria and use of saloon vehicles as Hackney Carriages.

Due to the extent and nature of the changes, we welcome your views with the consultation exercise expiring on 26 September 2025.

Information pertaining to the review including how to submit your comments on the policy can be found on the Three Rivers District Council website: https://www.threerivers.gov.uk/services/licensing/licensing-policies-consultations

Alternatively, you may discuss the review with the Licensing Department by contacting Three Rivers District Council on 01923 776611 or emailing via licensing.team@threerivers.gov.uk
