Keswick Marsh Floodplain Habitat Improvements

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the floodplain of the River Yare in Keswick between the railway crossing of the river at NGR TG2123505294 and another railway crossing near Harford Bridge (NGR TG2185905305), a distance of 0.6 kilometres.

The proposed improvement works will involve the following: floodplain habitat enhancement works involving reconnecting the River Yare with the floodplain, improving wet ditches and creating wetland scrapes.

The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The design of the whole improvement works is intended to improve the environmental condition locally and measures will be taken to mitigate any impacts.

An Environmental Report can be viewed at the Environment Agency Office in Norwich Dragonfly House, 2 Gilders Way, Norwich NR3 1UB.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
