What is happening?

NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF LAND

Section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972
Notice is hereby given that Shropshire Council intends to dispose of various parcels of land which are for identification purposes
described in the Schedule to this notice and shown edged red on the plans referred to in the Schedule.
The plans are available for
inspection during normal office hours at Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8HQ.
This is formal notice given insofar as the above parcels of land consist or form part of an open space within the meaning of the above Section. Shropshire Council has resolved to lease the above open space and recreational sites to Shrewsbury Town Council. Shrewsbury Town Council currently maintains the land through a Service Level Agreement and there will be a significant saving to Shropshire Council by this lease. Objections to the proposed disposals should be made in writing and addressed to Rob Blackwood Principal Commercial Estates
Surveyor at Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3 8HQ indicating which disposal is being objected to.
Objections must be received by no later than 1 September 2025
