Invitation to attend a Community Consultation Event for the A701 relief road & A702 Link Road, Midlothian

Following the first consultation in May 2025 Midlothian Council invites interested parties to take part in our second voluntary pre-application consultation for the proposed A701 Relief Road & A702 Link Road. We will be holding an in-person drop in event on Thursday 14 August 2025 between 4pm and 7pm at Bilston Primary School, Bilston, Roslin, EH25 9SD, Midlothian.

You are invited to our consultation event so you can learn more about the project and we can hear your views. The information that will be presented is largely the same as the information presented at the May 2025 consultation.

Any comments should be received no later than 21 August 2025.

Please note that any comments made to the applicant are not representations to Midlothian Council Planning Authority and when the applicant submits a planning application there will be an opportunity to make direct representations to Midlothian Council’s Planning Authority. Please also note that this community event is not a statutory requirement of The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 due to the ‘local’ scale of the proposal.”
