What is happening?

SECTION 123(2A) of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC OPEN SPACE NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Mole Valley District Council (the Council) pursuant to powers under Section 123 Local Government Act 1972, as amended, intends to dispose of open space being land at Pixham Lane shown edged red on the plan (the Former Open Space Land). The Former Open Space Land was used from 1967 by Surrey County Council as a playground for the adjacent school. Now that the school has closed and the school building has been sold, neither Surrey County Council nor the Council has an operational need for the land. 

INSPECTION OF PLAN

A plan showing the Former Open Space Land edged red, is available for inspection free of charge Monday to Friday during usual business hours at the Council Offices, Pippbrook, Reigate Road, Dorking or you can request a copy of the plan by email to property@molevalley.gov.uk quoting the reference “ Land at Pixham Lane”.

OBJECTIONS

Any objections to the proposed disposal of the Former Open Space Land only should be made in writing to Amber Preston, Property Strategic Lead, Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Dorking, RH4 1SJ or by email to property@molevalley.gov.uk by 5pm on 15th August 2025
