What is happening?
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER
SECTION 118 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BRACON ASH FP2)
EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2025
On 28th May 2025 Norfolk County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the full width of Footpath No. 2 in the parish of Bracon Ash starting from a point on Bracon Ash Footpath No. 1 at grid reference TG 1714 0050 and running south south-westwards and then southwards for a distance of approximately 155 metres to meet Church Lane (U78133) at grid reference TG 1711 0036.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the order map may be seen free of charge at County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council during normal office hours or purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the undersigned. Alternatively, it available electronically free of charge from legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk.
The Order came into force on the date of confirmation of the Order but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 4th July 2025 make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
