(PARISH OF BISHOPS WALTHAM) PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
On 20 June 2025 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed will create a public footpath commencing at a junction with Bishops Waltham Footpath 36 and proceeding southwards to a junction with Bishops Waltham Footpath 37, continuing in a southerly direction to Claylands Nature Reserve, then in a south-easterly then southerly direction through the reserve to a junction with Montague Road, as described in the Schedule to the order.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD, and at the offices of Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ, at all reasonable hours; and online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices.
The Order came into force on 20 June 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 04 July 2025 make an application to the High Court.
