Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water
Boarsbarrow Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata of Bridport Sand – Beacon Limestone and Inferior Oolite, Bridport Sand and Beacon Limestone via a borehole at National Grid Reference ST 48357 01897 at Northfield Farm, Beaminster, Dorset.
The application seeks to abstract water all year round as follows:
• 4 cubic metres an hour • 21 cubic metres a day
• 5,900 cubic metres a year.
The water will be used for Agriculture other than irrigation.
