NOTICE OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL BY THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD OF FREEHOLD PROPERTY WITHIN THE METROPOLITAN GREEN BELT

GREEN BELT (LONDON AND HOME COUNTIES) ACT 1938

  1. Notice is hereby given by the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) that in accordance with the provisions of Section 5 of the Green Belt (London and Home Counties) Act 1938 the Council proposes to dispose of the freehold of 6 Eastpole Cottages, Bramley Road, Southgate N14 4UX comprising a residential house and garden (“the property”) which is situated in the green belt and which is surplus to the Council’s requirements.

  2. Any person who objects to the proposed disposal by the Council of the property must lodge his or her objection in writing with The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government whose postal address is Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government 23 Stephenson Street, Birmingham, B2 4BH and whose email address is pcu@communities.gov.uk by no later than 5.00pm on 17 July 2025. Any objections will be considered by The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government whose consent is required to the proposed disposal under Section 5 of the Act. The Council asks that a copy of any objection be sent to it at the postal address or email address given in the following paragraph.

  3. A plan indicating the boundaries of the property is available for public inspection, free of charge, between 9.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (inclusive) during the period referred to in the previous paragraph at The Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XA.
