What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Various Roads, Langton Long & Tarrant Rawston

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of a safe working area and to minimise the likelihood of danger to the highway users whilst highway maintenance and resurfacing works are being undertaken. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14th July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of this Order will be to:

  1. Impose a temporary road closure on: Wimborne Road, Langton Long and Blandford Road, Tarrant Rawston to all vehicles; and/or

  2. To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway and towards junctions.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Various Roads, Litton Cheney

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of a safe working area and to minimise the likelihood of danger to the highway users whilst carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works are being undertaken. The works are anticipated to be completed by 1st July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

  1. To impose a temporary road closure on the following roads as indicated by signs on site; Parks Lane - Dantze Lane - Looke Lane; and/or

  2. To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking; Parks Lane - Looke Lane; and/or

  3. To impose a clearway as indicated on signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway; Parks Lane - Dantze Lane - Looke Lane

Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Various Roads, Granby Industrial Estate, Weymouth - Night Works

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users while maintenance works are being undertaken. Works are to be completed between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 and will re-open to traffic daily at weekends.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.

The effect of this Order will be:

  1. To impose temporary road closure on Hampshire Road from its junction with the access road to the Dorset Echo offices to where it meets the Land Registry offices;

  2. To impose temporary road closure on Cumberland Drive from where it meets Hampshire Road to its junction with the access road to the Dorset Echo offices;

  3. To impose a temporary clearway and parking restriction from its junction with the access road to the Dorset Echo offices to where it meets with Cumberland Drive.

    Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner will need to contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor - Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

    A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, B3142, Puddletown

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. The works will commence on 17 June 2025 and are anticipated to last for 5 nights between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00. The works will not take place at night, on weekends or on Bank Holidays.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of this Order will be to:

  1. Impose temporary road closure on B3142 Puddletown between its junctions with the B3143 and Northbrook junction.

  2. To impose temporary clearway on B3142 Puddletown between its junctions with the B3143 and Northbrook junction to prevent waiting or parking on the highway.

Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of these parking restrictions may be removed by the Council under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations 1986.
