Open Space Notice Local Government Act 1972 Section 123(2a)

Dorset Council gives notice of its intention to dispose of an area of land which consists or forms part of an area of deemed open space. The land to be disposed of, by a freehold transfer to Bridport Town Council, is land adjacent to Badgers Row Cottages (Wildlife Corridor), Bradpole, Bridport DT6 3AB (Land registry Title: DT355676). This proposed disposal includes transferring, having an area of 806m² and is shown edged red on the plan attached. In accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, Dorset Council will consider any objections to the proposed disposal. A plan of the site can be viewed at Dorset Council offices, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, DT1 1XJ in Legal Services, between the hours of 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Objections to the proposed disposal must be made in writing, stating the grounds for objection, and addressed to the Legal Property Business Partner, Legal Services, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ or by email to legal.land@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk to reach him no later than 20th June 2025.
