What is happening?

DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE - LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972. BLABY DISTRICT COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given that Blaby District Council in exercise of its powers under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 proposes to dispose of various parcels of land used as public open space as detailed below with the intention that it continues to be used as public open space and necessary conditions to secure that use:

Disposal To: Whetstone Parish Council. - Land to be disposed: Surplus land off High Street, Whetstone. 
- Future use: Community use Disposal To: EMH HomesLand to be disposed: Surplus land College Road, Whetstone. - Future use: Two dementia friendly bungalows classified as affordable housing.

Full details of these proposals are available for inspection at the reception of Blaby District Council Offices Desford Road, Narborough, LE19 2EP between normal office hours.

Any representations or objections with respect to the proposal must be made in writing to Pete Williams, Parks & Open Spaces Manager, Unit 21, Enderby Road Industrial Estate, Whetstone, Leicester LE8 6HZ prior to the 25th June 2025 All representations and objections must state the grounds upon which any representation or objection is made.
