What is happening?

NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSAL TO DISPOSE AN AREA OF PLAYING FIELD AND NON-PLAYING FIELD LAND AT BAYSGARTH SCHOOL

Notice is given in accordance with section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 in respect of playing field land at Baysgarth School that North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL intends dispose of an area of playing field and non playing field land (known as The Annexe) at Baysgarth School (community maintained school), Barrow Road, Barton-upon Humber, DN18 6AE.

To dispose of these areas, it is necessary for the Council to apply for written consent from the Secretary of State for Education, under the provisions of Section 77 of the School Standards and Frameworks Act 1998.

This Notice is an extract from the complete proposals.

Copies of the complete proposals can be accessed on line at www.northlincs.gov.uk/current-consultations or obtained from: Jo Rea, North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL e-mail: schoolorganisation@northlincs.gov.uk Within six weeks from the date of publication of this proposal, any person who wishes to make representation regarding the disposal of the land should do so by sending an e-mail to: schoolorganisation@northlincs.gov.uk

Please include “S77 Baysgarth” in the heading of the correspondence. The date by which representation should be made is: 17th July 2025.
