What is happening?

SOUTH HAMS DISTRICT COUNCIL LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1), (2a)

Land at various locations at The Berry, Salcombe. Notice is hereby given that South Hams District Council, who wish to retire as sole trustee of the Elspeth Mary Carr Charity under the Trustee Act (1925) and appoint Salcombe Town Council as replacement trustee, intends to transfer their interest in a number of areas of public open spaces to Salcombe Town Council. The locations of these assets are: the Hockey Ground (St Dunstans Road) and part Playing Field and plot (Fortescue Road).

It is intended that the assets will remain unchanged and continue to be used under the terms of the Charitable Trust. A plan of the land affected is available for inspection at SHDC Follaton House detailed below. Representations to the intended disposal must be made in writing to The Estates Team, South Hams District Council, Follaton House, Plymouth Road, Totnes, TQ9 5NE no later than 21st June 2025.
