IFG Developments Ltd has applied to the Welsh Ministers for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on NEWTON AND SUMMERLAND CLIFFS COMMON .
The proposed works are: To lay new buried services within a private driveway alongside Caswell Road which is designated registered common land. The works will involve the excavation of a trench and laying of drainage/services ducts and reinstatement, approximately 8m long 1m deep, undertaken in sections, with road plates and fencing to allow vehicular and pedestrian traffic to pass. The works are located near no. 70 Caswell Road and the east corner of Bishop’s Wood Nature Reserve.
A copy of the application form and map showing the proposed works can be inspected at the Ostreme Centre, Mumbles which is publicly viewable Monday to Thursday 9am to 1pm until the 29th day of June 2025. Any objections or representations should be sent in writing ON or BEFORE that date to the Planning Inspectorate Wales at Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NQ, or Wales@pins.gsi.gov.uk. Letters sent to the Planning Inspectorate cannot be treated as confidential. They will be copied to the applicant and possibly to other interested parties.
