Suffolk - Venue Approval for Marriages and Civil Partnerships
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
MARRIAGE ACT 1994 AND THE MARRIAGES AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS
(APPROVED PREMISES) REGULATIONS 2005
Suffolk County Council has received an application from Stonham Barns Limited for Stonham Barns, Pettaugh Road, Stonham Aspal, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 6AT to be approved as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages in pursuance of Section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949, and the registration of civil partnerships in pursuance of section 6 (3A) (a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.
Copies of the application and plans showing the proposed premises have been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the offices of Suffolk County Council, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, IP1 2BX between 9am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am - 4pm Friday.
Further copies of these documents have also been deposited at The Registration Office, Milton House, Milton Road South, Stowmarket IP14 1EZ, and may be inspected, by appointment, between 9.30am - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Any representation or objection with respect to this application may be sent in writing to Jane Parker, Head of Registration Services, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 2BX or to: venuelicensing@suffolk.gov.uk before 11/06/2025 stating the grounds on which it is made.
