Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

OHES Environmental Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from superficial deposits in the underground strata at Shepherds Spring Lane, Andover, Hampshire, in the area bounded by National Grid References SU 36499 46121, SU 36521 46121, SU 36512 46078, and SU 36490 46083.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 9 cubic metres an hour • 200 cubic metres a day

  • 45,500 cubic metres a year.

The purpose of the abstraction is pollution remediation.

Further details are: the proposal is for abstracted water to be treated and then discharged to a nearby sewer.
