NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE REGISTRATION OF LAND AS TOWN OR VILLAGE GREEN

To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below and to all others whom it may concern. Application has been made to the Registration Authority, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, by Philip Pope, Brambles, Tifnams, Owlswick Lane, Princes Risborough, HP27 9JY under section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Green) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007 for the land approximately one third of an acre adjoining to the south and southwest of Lamb Cottage in Owlswick (“Owlswick Village Green”). The application seeks the inclusion in the Register of Town or Village Greens of the land described in the Schedule below, which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 7 November 2023 by virtue of the Land being used by the inhabitants of the locality or neighbourhood within a locality for lawful sports and pastimes for at least 20 years, such use continuing at the time of the application. The application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration may be inspected at the following local authority offices, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA, and copies of the application and plan may be inspected online at https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/environment/public-rights-of-way/common-land-and-town-or-village-greens/recent-village-green-applications/. Copies of the documents may also be arranged to be inspected at the Longwick-cum-Ilmer parish by writing to the following email address, clerk@longwickcumilmer.org.uk. If the Registration Authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as town or village green, it will so register the land. Any person wishing to object to the registration of the land as a town or village green should send a statement of the facts on which the objection is based to the Head of Highways, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP20 1UA or row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk so as to arrive not later than 27.06.2025. Please mark correspondence for the attention of Mrs H. Francis, Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team Leader.

Full details of the Order can be seen free of charge at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA and at Hazlemere Library during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map Team at the address given below. Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Definitive Map Team, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk not later than 30 June 2025, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, Buckinghamshire Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State, may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 Buckinghamshire Council is obliged to make any representations received in response to this notice, open to public inspection.
