What is happening?

Notice of intention to lease land under section 123 (2A) of the local government act 1972

Notice is hereby given that Charnwood Borough Council, in exercise of their powers under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (2a) (as amended) intends to dispose open space land by way of a grant of lease of land off Allsopps Lane, Loughborough measuring approximately 26 acres. Copies of a plan showing the approximate position of the affected land may be inspected on the Council’s website at www.charnwood.gov.uk/ allsoppslane.

By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal. 

Any objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing to asset.management@ charnwood.gov.uk or addressed to Corporate Property Services, Charnwood Borough Council, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX stating the reasons for such objections, by no later than Wednesday, 4 June.
